Xiaomi Redmi K20 Vs K20 Pro

Redmi’s parent company, Xiaomi is known for its powerhouse phones and price tags with a mass appeal. The launch of Xiaomi Redmi’s K20 and K20 Pro in June was ranked highly on the top phones 2019 list. The K20 Pro model has high-end specifications and features whereas the K20’s features fall in the middle-range category.

While the K20 series is highly rated on the list of best phones 2019, only one of these can emerge as the best smartphone. But their unique specifications and characteristics can make it tough to decide between the top phones. Here we go through the features of K20 and K20 Pro to help you make an informed decision.

Features Redmi K20 Redmi K20 Pro Verdict
Display The K20 has a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The K20 Pro also has a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 but it has an extra DC dimming feature to reduce headaches and eyestrain. The K20 Pro is the clear winner with its iconic DC Dimming feature.
Storage Capacity   The K20’s non-expandable internal storage capacity starts at 64GB and goes up to 256GB. It has an average 6GB RAM. The K20 Pro has the same non-expandable internal storage but has a pretty high RAM of 8GB. The K20 Pro, thus, beats the K20 when it comes to storage capacity.
Camera The K20 has a 48+12+8MP rear camera and 20MP front camera and a standard Sony IMX 582 Sensor The K20 Pro has the same 48+12+8MP rear camera and 20MP front camera but an upgraded Sony IMX 586 Sensor. The high-end camera sensor of the K20 Pro takes the cake.
Design The K20 comes in a variety of colours; namely Carbon Black, Flame Red and Glacier Blue and weighs 191 grams. It has a nano-coating to protect itself from liquid spillage. The K20 Pro too comes in these vivid colours and weighs the same as well. Another common feature is that they are both water-resistant. Both phones have quite similar designs. If you’re looking for water-resistant phones to beat the rains, they are both winners.
Battery   The K20 has a pretty good 4,000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The K20 Pro has an identical battery but supports 27W fast charging. While the K20 Pro promotes quicker charging, Redmi offers only 18W charger in the package. You need to buy a separate 27W charger for the K20 Pro.
Price The K20 is currently selling at Rs. 21,999. The K20 Pro has a price tag of Rs. 27,999. The K20 beats the K20 Pro with its super affordable price point.
