The Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 cricket tournament, India’s biggest women’s cricket event, commenced on February 23rd.

The second season of the WPL is generating enthusiasm similar to the wildly popular inaugural 2023 season. In the first-ever WPL last year, the Mumbai Indians squad led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the championship by defeating the Delhi Capitals, captained by Meg Lanning, in the thrilling finals held at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

This year, the 2024 Women’s Premier League matches will take place from February 23rd to March 17th in Bengaluru and Delhi. The league features five teams – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz – who will play round-robin matches leading up to a final between the top-performing teams.
