Vivo Y3 with 6.35-inches display and 5000 mAh battery to be launched

Vivo Y3 with 6.35-inches display and 5000 mAh battery to be launched

Over the years, Vivo has firmly carved a niche for itself in the mid-range smartphone market with some great offerings that have been well received by critics and users alike. Now, the company is all set to launch its new phone, Vivo Y3, in India. The phone has already been launched in China in May 2019 to considerable success.

Let’s have a detailed look at the smartphone’s specifications.

Gradient finish design with exciting colour options

Vivo Y3 flaunts a gradient finish back panel with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. In China, the phone came with four unique colour options to choose from – peacock blue, peach pink, ink blue, and red-black. It remains to be seen which of these colour options make it to the Indian launch.

Decent display featuring a waterdrop notch

In the display department, Vivo Y3 sports a 6.35 inches IPS LCD panel having a resolution of 720 x 1544 pixels at 268ppi pixel density. With a screen-to-body ratio of 89%, the display features a waterdrop notch along with a nearly bezel-less display.

Solid and dependable performance on all fronts

Vivo Y3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC supported by two Cortex A53 octa-core processors clocked at 2.3GHz. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and the in-built 128GB of storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Graphics are handled by the on-board PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone runs on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.0 which has been built over Android 9.0 Pie.
On paper, this configuration looks great and Vivo Y3 promises effortless multitasking and smooth gaming performance.

Stellar camera setup

For photography enthusiasts, Vivo Y3 offers a triple camera setup at the back with a dedicated 13MP (f/2.2) main camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) module for depth sensing. The phone offers great versatility and the rear camera should be able to click some vibrant and detailed images with decent dynamic range. On the phone’s front, there is a 16MP (f/2.0) camera housed in the waterdrop notch for selfies.

Extremely impressive battery life

This is where Vivo Y3 is expected to outshine its competitors. The phone comes with a massive 5000mAh Li-ion battery which will surely last for a full day with moderate usage. Even gamers and heavy users will appreciate the battery backup. To give it some juice on the go, the battery supports proprietary 18W fast charging.

There is no doubt that the 5000mAh battery on the Vivo Y3 smartphone will be a primary factor that will attract most users towards this smartphone.

Release date and price

Indian users will be able to finally get their hands on Vivo Y3 somewhere in the first week of December 2019 at an expected price of Rs.15,090. Let’s wait and watch how well it is received by the general populace of our country. Meanwhile, you could also check out Tata Capital’s consumer durable loans for an easy purchase.
