The Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 cricket tournament, India’s biggest women’s cricket event, commenced on February 14th.

The third season of the WPL is generating enthusiasm similar to the wildly popular inaugural 2023 season. In the first-ever WPL in 2023, the Mumbai Indians squad led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the championship by defeating the Delhi Capitals, captained by Meg Lanning, in the thrilling finals held at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

This year, the 2025 Women’s Premier League matches will take place from February 14th to March 15th in four different venues in Vadodara, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Lucknow. The league features five teams – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz – who will play round-robin matches leading up to a final between the top-performing teams.
